AIM Investor Focus returns on October 29th, 2018. The event will comprise presentations from three quoted companies: Mattioli Woods, Scientific Digital Imaging and Sigma Capital.

The event will run at the Cannon Street, City offices of law firm CMS and the event will comprise presentations from each company, to an audience of dedicated stock market investors.

Each participating company will make a presentation of around 30 minutes, to be followed by 10 minutes of Q&A from attendees. Mattioli Woods is a wealth management and employee benefits company headquartered in Leicester. The company has a market cap in excess of £200m and has been successfully increasing its dividend to shareholders since 2006. Recent results from the company showed a 17% increase in revenues and a dividend increase to match. Client assets rose 5% in the six months to 30 November 2017, versus the prior period. Mattioli Woods has a net cash position.

Cambridge-based Scientific Digital Imaging (SDI) has come up fast. Growing by acquisition, the company has doubled revenues in the last three years, increasing reported net profit from £40k to £1.6m in that time. Results for the year ending 30th April 2018 showed an increase in gross margin and a near doubling of profit before tax. The company had a net cash position at the period end.

Sigma Capital* is an investor in Private Rental Sector housing and a manager of such investments via main market quoted The PRS REIT. Sigma Capital is on a similar trajectory to SDI, the arrangement with The PRS REIT expected to deliver a huge increase in revenues and profits. Shares in Sigma Capital have approximately doubled in the last three years as the merit of its new strategy becomes clear. At the time of writing, shares in Sigma Capital trade on 10.6 times forecast earnings for the year ending December 2018, falling to 7.8 times the number forecast for 2019.
